Pollution
Pollution of sources from which domestic supplies are derived is
a critical issue, leading in the worst case to serious health problems
and in the best to increased treatment costs.
Pollution is a problem for water from both surface and sub-surface
sources, although it is the former where the problem is more widely
recognised.
